Spma

April 12, 2010

I got my first piece of spam a few days ago. Handily intercepted by Akismet it simply said:

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view

According to google this comment has been posted about 24,700 times on various blogs and sites. I presume it’s just some kind of automatic comment from phished accounts but I still found it amusing seeing it sitting there all innocent looking amongst ‘normal’ comments on various blogs. Like a cheeky little Where’s Wally.

Then I saw this comment repeated in a few places:

I am reading this article second time today, you have to be more careful with content leakers. If I will fount it again I will send you a link

This shows up on a search 23,400 times.

They show up together 1,050 times.

Where did they start?

What do they want?

Why is there one single spelling mistake in each?

Who will tell me?!

Who cares?

Probably no-one.

Yours etc,
Mr E Ntrigued.
